rates

 My basic hourly rate is $75, plus any output costs. Small jobs (such as resume redesigns) might take only an hour. Per-project rates are negotiable based on size and complexity:
  • Web sites: $400-$1000 depending on number of pages and technical requirements
  • Book covers/jackets: $650-1250
  • Book interiors: $7-$12 per finished page
  • Catalogs: $35-$70 per finished page
These price ranges are to supply print-ready PDFs, as well as the source files (application documents, fonts, and high-resolution art files) for your archives. For an additional charge, I can also serve as your production coordinator, working directly with outside printers to manufacture your final product. Please contact me with the specifics of your project for a more precise estimate.

 What software do you use to do this?
Currently, I use Adobe InDesign CS2 (for PC, on Windows XP).

How do we begin?
For clients in the NYC or greater Boston area, we can meet in person to go over ideas and drafts. Otherwise, we can do the preliminary discussion over e-mail or phone, and I will e-mail proofs to you in PDF format.

What's the cool display typeface used on this site?
It's a TrueType font of my own handwriting that I created with Fontifier in 2007. Click here to download: EricasHandwriting.ttf (for print use) or the handy webfont package generated by FontSquirrel.

Do you also do calligraphy by hand?
Yes!
